

Before establishing roots in Virginia, he gained valuable experience working in the parts department at Anchor Motor Freight in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1976, Leroy fulfilled his entrepreneurial dream by opening an Auto Parts store in Goochland County, where he built a thriving business and faithfully served his community for many years.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, David Taylor; his daughter, Patricia Taylor; his three grandsons, William Engels and his wife Meghan, Jackson Taylor Engels, and Samuel Engels; his sister, Georgia Rae Roberts and her husband Totton Walton; and his brother, Jerry Taylor and his wife Cathy.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, George and Julia Taylor, and his brother, James Taylor.
Known for his hardworking spirit and dedication to both his family and his trade, Leroy’s legacy endures in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Norman Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1st, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The burial will take place 2:00pm, Friday, April 3rd, 2026, in the Taylor Cemetery in Tennessee, near his cherished farm.
