Lester White Manning age 91 of Tazewell, TN was born July 13, 1919 and passed away August 18, 2010 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Pate” and Jelina Muncy Manning; brothers Herman, James, Henry, Ira, Ray, Charlie, Joe and Warren; sisters: Baby Girl, Martha, Mary and Helena. Lester was a World War II Veteran. He fought in 5 major campaigns from 1940 until 1945 including Normandy, France, Germany, Rhineland and Battle of the Bulge earning a Bronze Star among many other decorations.
He is survived by brother and sister-in-law: Leon & Christine Manning

and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a “very special friend, Ralph Montgomery.”
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Friday at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Military Honors.
