Maebelle Barnard

Maebelle was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She was an avid Tennessee basketball fan and enjoyed any sort of craft she could get her hands on. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers. One of her favorite things, however, was cooking and baking, especially for her family.

Maebelle was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Barnard; parents, Woodrow and Dexter Turnmire; children, Lynn Barnard and Douglas Barnard; and grandson, Alan Barnard.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Chad) Johnson; son, Dennis Barnard; grandson, Devaughntez (Maria) Vazquez; sister, Christine Stapleton; special niece, Ginger Stapleton; special neighbor, Raj; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

There will be a graveside service held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Alan McCoy Cemetery in Hancock County, TN. The family requests everyone to meet at the cemetery.
