Missy was raised in Cumberland Ky with her sister Joyce by parents Coy and Bobbie Taylor. She enjoyed her childhood and took from there many life time friendships that she always treasured and carried them with her wherever she went. Missy was a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University and earned a Master of Education from East Tennessee State University. Missy was a proud educator and played a large role in dozens of her student’s lives.
Missy chose a Christian Life at a young age and was Saved by Grace through Faith in Cumberland and that walk with Jesus led her to her new hometown of Tazewell. She was proud to impact lives in her job as a teacher and as a Youth Director in Church. Her goal was to always share the Joy that a Christ filled life can bring and did her best to allow God’s light to shine through her and into the world, so that Jesus could have the same impact on others that he had on her. Missy’s life was interrupted by a 5 ½ year battle with Ovarian Cancer, but her faith in her Savior never faltered and only grew stronger. She always held firm to her belief in a better life in Heaven after she left her Earthly Home and was strengthened daily by the Prayer Warriors that were sent to her by God.
