At an early age, Ellen professed her faith and became a dedicated member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. She cherished participating in every service alongside her family and friends. Even when faced with signifi cant health challenges, she made every effort to attend whenever mobility permitted. When she was homebound, she eagerly awaited her family's return to hear details about the service, whether the church was fi lled, and—most importantly—if anyone was saved and joined the church. Her church family remained a cornerstone of her life, and she deeply treasured the enduring love and support they extended to her.
She deeply loved and looked out for her brothers and sisters. Though she didn't have kids of her own, she treated all her nieces and nephews like her own, supported their dreams, and absolutely cherished babysitting and spoiling the little ones.
