Rick was a simple, genuine man with a big heart, especially for his family. He loved horseback riding and going hunting and fishing. Rick was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church and was saved by the grace of God in his thirties. He was a very skilled carpenter and could build anything he set his mind to.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Junior Leonard; nephew, Colton Leonard; his uncles, Carson Leonard, Neil Leonard, Murphy Leonard; and aunt, Bonnie Hobbs.
He is survived by his son, Eddie (Madison) Leonard; fiance, Michelle Roberts; mother, Joyce Leonard; brother, Raymond (Wanda) Leonard; niece, Maranda (Andy) Hacker; nephew, Ryon Poore; as well as a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with a funeral service to begin at 6:00 PM.
