Ronald Holt

Ronald Holt, 84, of Thorn Hill, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at Morristown Hamblen Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was saved at an early age at Cedar Springs Church. Ronald was a loving husband, dad, papaw, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Ada Holt; daughter, Rosy Long; grandson, Justin Wolfe; sister, Bethel Whaley; and brother, Gerald Holt.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth, of almost 63 years; daughters, Ronda (Gary) Carmack and Lisa (Jeff) Wolfe, both of Mooresburg; grand-daughters, Valerie Roach of Lebanon, TN, Heather (Matt) Dyer of Morristown and Kelly (Ralph) Harris of Bean Station; great-grandsons, Malachi and Hunter Harris; sister, Jean Rucker of Morristown; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff at Morristown Hamblen Hospital CCU for exceptional care.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with funeral service to begin at 7:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Burial will be in the Janeway Cemetery in Thorn Hill on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Anyone wishing to follow in procession is asked to be at Coffey Funeral Home by 10:00 AM.
