Roy Gene O'Dell

Roy Gene O’Dell, age 84 of Little Sycamore Community passed away January 20, 2017. He was born in Claiborne County on March 28, 1932. Roy was a lifelong farmer as well as working for Tenn-Flake in Middlesboro, Giles Ind., first in Middlesboro then Tazewell, TN. He also worked several years with his son, Mike in the mobile home business. He was a member of The Odd Fellows, and had a passion for working with horses and mules. He loved watching things grow. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara Catherine Miracle O’Dell. His son Mike O’Dell. Parents Clyde and Rosa O’Dell. His brother Estle O’Dell and his sister Vivalene O’Dell Cupp.

He is survived by his daughter in law: Carolyn Edmondson O’Dell.

Granddaughters: Mary O’Dell Mallicoat and husband Tony of New Tazewell, TN. Becky O’Dell Fine and husband Kevin of Andersonville, TN.

Great grandchildren: Molly Mallicoat, Maggie Mallicoat, Cody Fine and Corey Fine.

Sister: Iva Lee O’Dell Parkey and husband Donnie of Tazewell, TN.

As well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday January 23rd from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Tuesday January 24th, 2017 at 11 AM in the Burch Cemetery.
