

She was saved at age ten and joined the Greers Chapel Baptist Church where she was a continuous and senior member for 87 years. She served in the church in various ways throughout her life. She was a willing servant of the Lord. She served as Church clerk for more than 50 years.
She was a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Ruby was a retired school teacher having taught school in the Claiborne County, Tennessee and the Bell County, Kentucky school systems.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Abe Campbell, parents, Ernest and Flossie Robinson Bolton and brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Patsy Bolton.
She is survived by brothers, Milton (Ellen) Bolton, Hilton (Pat) Bolton, and sister, Shirley Wolfenbarger. She also has several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members who were very special to her.
Her family wants to give thanks to her very special and devoted friends/family, Alma Heaton, Ina Johns, and Brenda Bolton for their time visiting and helping Ruby. Deep gratitude is expressed to the TriState Health and Rehabilitation Center staff for compassionate and professional service during Ruby’s brief stay at the Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Greers Chapel Church Cemetery fund, c/o Ina Johns, 425 Ridge Dale Road, Harrogate, Tennessee 37752.
A Graveside service will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greer’s Chapel Cemetery, 560 Greers Chapel Rd., Harrogate, TN 37752.
