Ruth Mae Ferguson

Ruth Mae Ferguson age 87 of Tazewell, TN was born on February 8, 1925 and passed away at Claiborne County Hospital on December 10, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion James and Lennie Mae Ferguson; brothers, Kenneth and James Ferguson; sisters, Marion Ferguson and Berylene Campbell Owings; brother-in-law, Howard A. Bailey and Bill Campbell; sisters-in-law, Jean Ferguson and Billie Ferguson. Ruth was a devoted daughter, loving sister and aunt. Ruth was a member of Tazewell Baptist Church for many years. She taught at Blue Top School for several years. Ruth along with her brother Kenneth owned and operated Ferguson Grocery in Tazewell, TN for 30 years. Ruth retired from Claiborne County Hospital where she worked in the credit department for 10 years.

Two great great Nephews and one great great Niece and one great great niece due in April.

She is also survived by a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. Thursday December 13, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Thursday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Irish Cemetery.
