Shirley Cupp

Mrs. Shirley Anne Ramsey Cupp, age 72, of Tazewell was born on November 20, 1948 and passed away at home on October 17, 2021, surrounded by members of her loving family. She professes faith in Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Millard “Jake” and Frances Ramsey, brother Artie Ramsey and sister-in-law Avril Ramsey. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 53 years, Jim Cupp. Sons:Brady Cupp of Erwin, TN and Matthew Cupp of Tazewell. Grandchildren: Brent Cupp of Johnson City. Jordan and Maggie Cupp of Tazewell. Brothers: Bruce (Debbie) Ramsey and Jeff Ramsey, both of Tazewell. Sisters: Kimbal (Mildred) Moyers, John (Barbara) Hatfield and Nancy Ramsey, all of Tazewell. Bud (Gail) Abbott of Jamestown, TN. Brother-in-law: Junior Cupp of Tazewell. Sister-in-law: Charlotte Ramsey of Tazewell. Several nephews, nieces, cousins and neighbors. Special friends: the staff of Cumberland Mountain Industries and the ladies of the Claiborne County Library: Sandy Neely, Teresa Noe and Jami Bell. And also Vanna, Misty and the girls at His & Hers Hair Salon.

A very special thanks to the wonderful staff of Smoky Mountain Hospice.

At her request, Mrs. Cupp asked to be cremated. No funeral service will be held yet a celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to charity of your choice in her name
