Vernia Ella Pace

Vernia was a mother, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. She was a devoted housewife and enjoyed flowers, listening to gospel songs, and looking at old pictures. Vernia loved shopping and looking at trinkets, knick-knacks and roosters. She also loved when she had the time to watch her favorite show "In the Heat of the Night".

Vernia was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Ruby Long, and was the last of her siblings, Dorothy, Ann, Arlie and Alice.

Vernia is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Benny Pace; daughter, Shelia Carroll; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will have a graveside service on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Adams Cemetery on Iron Works Rd in Forge Ridge, TN. The family requests anyone that would like to come to please meet at the cemetery.
