Mrs Kopetz -Korf was my piano professor at Manhattan School of Music 1971-74.   Far too short a time still her training provided me with the piano skills to live a life in music, as a pianist and as a pedagogue.  Mrs Korf was kind, warm, and a lady.

My other teacher was Nadia Boulanger with whom I studied in Paris 1976-78.   Mlle. was also a lady, but exacting, severe.

Mrs Korf was the right arm and Mlle was the left arm of my musical upbringing.

However, Mrs Korf was of my people, a Jew, and therefore like family to me, an ersatz mother during the difficult time when my parents were breaking their marriage,  destroying our home.  

Does Mrs Korf have a Jewish son who has said and says Kaddish for her neshama, her soul?   My husband would be happy to render this service here in Israel where we live.  May we please have Mrs Korf’s Hebrew name to this purpose?   The format would be  Mrs Korf’s Hebrew name (Eta maybe?) , bat (daughter of) and then her father’s Hebrew name.  We would also like her Jewish date of death.  Thank you  

I knew both Ada and her husband, Arthur, for many, many years. Arthur was a real character! But it was only after his death that Ada and I became close. She  became like a mother to me following my divorce in the 1990s. And we also shared many art adventures --art was a passion that Ada, Arthur and I  shared. 
Ada and I  had lost touch in recent years, though I tried without success to contact her several times. I still miss her, as I assume do all her family and friends. My heart goes out to you all.
