

Albert J. Beveridge III of Manhattan died on Tuesday, 14 January 2003, at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, NYC, of an aneurysm. Services at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, 1076 Madison Avenue (corner of East 81st Street), NY, NY 10028. Visitations Thursday, 16 January, 7-9 p.m., and Friday, 17 January, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 18 January, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Church of Yorkville, 404 East 87th Street (between First & York Avenues), followed by interment at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Holy Cross, Section 67, Row 75, plot 120, in Throggs Neck, The Bronx.
Al was born on May 23, 1962 in New York City to Albert J. Beveridge, Jr. and the late Ann Marie (Buchinger) Beveridge. He was raised in Manhattan, Camp LeJeune, NC, Oceanside, CA, Cherry Point, NC, and Copake, NY. He attended St. Joseph’s School of Yorkville (NYC), Annunciation School (Havelock, NC), Roeliff-Janssen School (Hillsdale, NY), Taconic Hills High School (Philmont, NY) and Vassar College. For the past several years, he was the owner-operator of Brownslate Construction of Manhattan.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his beloved wife Kate (Webster) of Wales, his children Matthew Joseph (19) and Amy Lillian Eva (1), grandmother Lillian (Rolfe) Buchinger of Manhattan, brother Joseph M. Beveridge, Sr. of Copake, NY, sister Corinne A. Beveridge of Manhattan, nephew Joseph M. Beveridge, Jr. of New Rochelle, NY, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was known in his younger days as “Man of Steel” and, for the past twenty years, throughout Manhattan as “Big Al”. Big Guy, we all love you and are going to miss you more than you can ever imagine.
