Mom:

There's never a day that goes by that I don't think of you and miss our little talks and hearing your laughter.  It's going on 6 years since you departed in just a few weeks and still I cannot believe that you are no longer here.  I wish I could hear your voice and have our little chats!  REST in PEACE my beautiful Mom.

Mom, I can't believe in just two weeks we will be celebrating your 1st Anniversary in Heaven.  It seems like only yesterday you were here among us and now it's been a year..... we miss you tremendously but know that we are fulfilling your wishes to stay united as a family. In fact, on Saturday, Terry bought me a birthday cake from Valencia and about 25 people were in my home singing happy birthday - you would have been pleased - Chave, Lucy, Tony, Annalyssa, Little Lilly, Carlos just to name a few were there.  Also know that we will be celebrating your anniversary in Heaven on September 23 - Lilly will be here from Florida - we will honor you for the great Mom (grandmother) you were!!! and will always be! Happy 75th birthday in Heaven!!! What a joy it is to know that you are celebrating your milestone birthday in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  There you are rejoicing with the Angels and praising our God!!! I still remember your speech last year (I see it all the time on video) where you thanked all of us for such a wondering birthday and how you said, to stay together always as a family.... we are doing that Mom - you would be happy to know that even Papo is part of our celebrations..... I love you Mom and look forward to seeing you again when God calls me home!!!

Happy birthday to the most wonderful woman and mother I have ever known!  You are terribly missed! I could still hear your words of gratefulness to be with us for your birthday!!! I am sure you are having a celestial celebration up in heaven!!!  I rejoice in your happiness in God's kingdom!

Mom, how I miss you- you have been heavy on my heart - I wish you were here.... Memorial Day weekend at the pool was not the same without you. Many people asked for you only to be saddened to hear that you were no longer with us.  But again I remind myself that you are rejoicing in Heaven.  I love you so much mom- hey - can you come to me in my dreams??? I miss talking to you and laughing with you!

Chulita linda!  It is difficult to imagine that you have left us almost six months ago, but every day we are reminded of the special moments we had with you, the blessings you would bestow on our day, and the love you gave unconditionally.  I know you are in a glorious place celebrating eternal happiness with grandma, Julian, and all our loved ones who have crossed over to God's kingdom.  One day we will be together celebrating our happiness once again!  Love you and miss you so much!  Your daughter,

Querida Madre, not a day goes by that I don't feel sad at your parting.... I cry almost every day because I miss you so much.  I keep asking God to "heal my broken heart."  I miss the fun times we had together, your staying at my home, waking up Saturday mornings and laughing together... so so much Mom. You were my mom and my best friend.  My consolation is that I know you are basking in God's glory and now dad is there with you, that you are both enjoying the presence of the Lord face to face!!!!

Mom, thinking of you today and wishing you were still here with us.  Comforting, however, to know that you are celebrating and happy in Heaven with our mighty Lord and Savior!!! I love you,

Grandma it has been exactly two months since you have passed and it has taken me this long to get the courage to sit and write in your book. Grandma there are no words to express how much I miss your company, your smile, your advise, and your unconditional love for me, Ricky, and the kids. Though I did not get to tell you but you were the best friend I had in our building. I missed you so much on Thanksgiving and every single day of my life. Living in the same building as you is a constant reminder that I dont have you around. Grandma we have beautiful memories together that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am having a very difficult time these days understanding why you had to be the  chosen one to go so soon. I thought that you would live forever and I had all the time in the world to spend with you but I was sadly mistaken. Though I am feeling this way I know that truth is that you are no longer suffering and this is what consoles my aching heart. You dont deserve to suffer, you deserve nothing but the best and that is why you earned your key into the heavens. I will leave you with this I know you are my guardian angel forever and ever. Querida madre,
I remember when I would ask grandma why she called you "Angela" and tio "Angel" she responded because both of you were her "angels!"  Isn't that the truth!

We are so grateful to have been blessed with such a courageous mother, with the will to take life as it comes as long as she could do what she needed for her kids.  Mom was always selfless, always giving of herself, and never thinking of herself!  Even til the end, her biggest concern was her family.  And, she gave much to her community as well!  She never complained about her concerns but was always willing to help others.  

I witnessed the very woman I triumph to be -- caring for others and making a place for heaven having lived in God's deeds on earth.  Mom did just that!  I pray that we can all be like her and continue to live her legacy!

I love you, miss you, and will see you again in heaven when we can all triumph in endless love and happiness!

  Angela, your service & funeral were reflective of the life you lived.
