The Arthur Abarbanel I knew for a short time while in the army hospital in Camp Livingston, LA in 1945 and a short visit at his home on Long Island  in 1968 was an instant friend and a great human being.  Those closer to him must have been desolate when he passed away.  The world lesser without him.
