causes with her family with her. She was 95 years otd.
She was born April 27th, 1929 in Shanghai, China. She was the first born oldest daughter with three
younger brothers. Living an upper middle class life in a 4 story brownstone, her father was a
businessman involved in pharmaceuticals.
With the communist takeover of China, the family (except for the oldest brother) relocated to
Taipei, Taiwan, where her father continued his business by opening a pharmaceutical
manufacturing plant behind their house, producing cough syrup and aspirin.
Caro[ine worked there for the J.J. White Construction Company as an executive secretary, meeting
her future husband who was in Taipei on business. They were introduced on a blind date by a
partner of his.
White maintaining her relationship with P.M., Caroline applied for college in the U.S. at MacMurray
College in Illinois as a physics major. She studied for two years before leaving to marry p.M., who co
founded Summit industrial Company in NYC - an export/import company with Asia. They were
married at Trinity Church in Manhattan in 1955. They had their first son, Victor, a year later, then
their second son, Vincent, 3 years later.
Caroline settled into her rote as wife, mother, and tater strong matriarch of the family in queens, Ny
(tater in suburban N.J.), involving herself completely with her immediate and extended families
lives, supporting and advising.
She found herself fascinated and having the aptitude for working in finance, working daity over the
family investments and spending time with her brokers. After taking an H & R Block tax course, she
was very capable in handling the yearly returns. Otherwise, she enjoyed batl room dancing,
participating in Chinese social clubs, television and cooking.
She is survived by Victor, a businessman, and Vincent, a doctor of endocrinology.
