It took me so long to actually write something on this, because til this day I’m Still in so much shock. I’ve known Chris for about maybe 7 years. I wasn’t too close to him because he was always more of my brothers friend growing up. My brother had went to lab and they were actually in the same grade. My brother graduated from lab. I didn’t. Maybe 3 years passed after me really seeing chris until he asked another mutual friend for my number. In my mind, I never really understood why he wanted my number. But now I know why. All chris really needed was someone there for him no matter what he was going through. Throughout the years he’s tried contacting me still, but I was always  going through my own things as well. I hung out with chris maybe once or twice last year. He was always happy and always telling jokes. Always In great spirits.  Something that I will never forget. I love you Chris. - Destiny, deserae, and Jonathan. 

My utmost sincere sympathy to all members of the Maguire family on the death of Christopher John.   May he rest in peace.   You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am sorry to have waited until now to write here, but I've been in a bit of shock. To Chris's family, I cannot imagine your pain, and I am so terribly sorry for your loss. If there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I found out about Chris's death on the way home last week from the funeral for my father-in-law and as I read more I realized Chris's funeral was happening the same day. It put things into stark relief for me - that of my father-in-law's long life fully lived in his own way with the woman he loved by his side throughout, and that of Chris's life cut so tragically short when he truly deserved the same.

I have only known Chris since October of last year, but we instantly bonded and it feels as if I've known him forever. He had an old soul and wisdom beyond his years, so it was easy to forget he was so young and vulnerable. I often called him Christopher in a parental tone when he was being stubborn, infuriating, and thinking he knew all the answers, and he'd laugh that infectious laugh of his and occasionally admit my advice might be worth listening to. I only wish he had listened to it more often. He had such a good heart, and as a friend of his said below far more eloquently, he often put the care of others - my own included - before his own. We always ended our frequent, sometimes tough phone calls telling each other we loved each other. And with Chris, I knew he meant it. 

Christopher, my love, I hope you met my father-in-law Lenny on your final journey that day. You'll find you're actually both a bit alike. Enjoy each other's company until I see you both again one day. Until then, you are in my heart, always.

We were so very sorry to hear that Chris left us. An invaluable friend to our daughter Kaya, we came to know Chris as a lovely, compassionate, and ever loyal friend. We loved him and will miss his good spirit. We wish you strength and the friendship and warmth of those around you to help you through this loss. May Chris rest in peace and so bring peace to you as well.

Chris was a good guy with a very kind and loving soul. I may not have known him long but the time spent with him will always be a great memory, he was apart of a major chapter in my life. I will forever be grateful for his advice and humor. I always told him he should be a comedian.

Chris was one of the kindest, funniest, and genuine people you could've ever met. I met him when I was going through  a lot of new, scary things and he made sure to make me feel comfortable and at ease. He became one of my closest friends. I can still hear his laugh, or the jokes he used to make. Everyone at ATSI loves you, and are so saddened by you being gone. 
I love you Chris, you are at peace now. But I'll see you again someday.  My deepest condolences to his family. He always talked about you all. I just know he loved you all very much.

We were devastated to hear about Christopher,  and so sorry we can't be in NY to give you a hug and more support at this awful time. Liam and Nora have some happy memories of being with their cousin in Manhattan and Rockaway, and he will always be remembered in our family.  Wishing you peace and  strength,  especially tomorrow for the wake and burial.

Christopher Maguire was my roommate and best friend. I knew him just few months . During this short time ( 6 months in Brooklyn) he showed  to everyone how was helpful, kind , polite.  I never forget Him . He never gave up.  He was independent person.  Optimistic. Ambitious. Generous.  
        My sincere sympathies to his family.

Words alone cannot explain the impact Chris had on my life. My best friend and brother for 12 years, I could ALWAYS count on Chris to make me smile, laugh, and help me through the emotional roller coaster that is life. We had an incredible bond. Chris and I could spend hours talking to each other, discussing every aspect of our lives. He gave me invaluable advice and support, no matter the situation. He was so eager to do right by his friends and loved ones, often insistent on putting others before himself. His selflessness & generosity were unparalleled. Chris was unique in this way. Months could pass (never that long in my case) but when Chris would reconnect with an old friend, he would overwhelm with happiness. Chris was larger than life and his presence was felt immediately when he entered a room - with his storytelling, his comedy, his kindness and love. Chris had tremendous compassion, especially when he sensed people needed it the most. He cried with me when my grandfather passed last year. His ability to make people laugh and smile will never be forgotten. This is a tremendous loss to all that knew him, especially to me.  I know he will always be there with me and is now an angel watching from above.  I love you and will never forget you. Rest easy my friend.

Our Beloved Christopher, words can't express how much we miss you. You were a light in everyone's lives and will always remain so in our hearts. Your smile and laughter will forever be irreplaceable. I am so grateful that Miguel gave me the opportunity to meet such a beautiful soul and share many beautiful memories with you. You loved our son Mason with all your heart and I know you will forever be our guardian angel watching over him and all of our family. We will forever love you!

We first met Christopher when he was in our son's preschool class in 1997  and Chris was 2.5 years old and our son, Oscar was almost 3 years old. Chris became sweeter,  at least toward us,  over time. It is hard to imagine that he is gone. Our hearts are with you, Maguire's.  We send you love and cannot imagine your pain.
