Have only just learned about Mr Frye's passing. He was a gentleman, an honorable man. The world is a smaller place without him. I worked with him only briefly but would see him in the neighborhood from time to time and he always had a kind word and welcoming smile.  Will miss him.  Most sincere condolences to his family. He was such a mentor and so inspirational, helping me achieve my dreams. Clayton taught me HOW to do something instead of how to complain. One of the most incredible people whom I've had the honor of knowing.

Wes was my mentor, counselor, and advocate as the lead Director for Tejon Ranch Company...and he was instrumental in hiring me to be the CEO. Long after his retirement as Director we talked and visited regularly.  My visits to NY will not be the same without a visit with my old friend Wes.  A true gentleman and fine human being.

Clayton (Smoky) was my pal and fraternity brother at Los Angles City College. After or respective Stanford and UCLA days, our paths went different ways but thru mutual friends I kept track of Wes.
He was a good and great man....a wonderful fellow to be around.

I also knew his father and brother.

He accomplished a lot and made life better for many.
Rest in the peace you so well earned old friend.

Wes was our boss at the JY Ranch. Our hearts are broken. He was such a very special person in our lives. He was the depiction of integrity, kindness, gentleness, yet strength. Tom always referred to him as the gentleman of gentlemen. Every time he would call and I would hear his voice say "Hi Bobbie", my heart would flood with love and deep respect for him. I was always excited and honored to be able to visit with him, no matter what the subject. We have missed him so much these past years after the JY closed. He will forever be our hero! We love you Wes!

Clayton is my brother.  Within my family he was mown as "Smoky".
Everyone who knows him knows what a great man he was.
All I can say is that he was my hero, my idol,my benefactor and my guide.
