Clifford H. Benfield Jr.

Clifford "Cliff" Harding Benfield Jr., age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at his home in New York, New York. He was born on September 11, 1958, in Staten Island, New York, the son of Clifford Harding Benfield Sr. and Jacqueline (Nee Lord).

A financial advisor for over 40 years, Cliff dedicated his life to helping others secure their financial futures. His clients held him in high esteem for his integrity, and his unwavering commitment and sound guidance.

Cliff was a loving husband to Lucy and their bond was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Cliff was an adored father, a supportive brother and an avid Jets fan. He took great joy in recruiting his family and friends to join him at games at MetLife Stadium every fall.

Cliff will be fondly remembered for his warmth, his love of music and a sense of humor that could turn even depressing moments into comedic gold. But perhaps his greatest gift was his storytelling ability, captivating listeners with his unscripted eloquence. Cliff leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Cliff is survived by his wife Lucy; his daughter Jackie; his son Cliff; his mother Jackie; and his sister Victoria. He will be much missed by his friends and family from both the US and the UK.
