Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Harry H. Newberry, and her mother, Paula S. Tolka. An only child, she carried forward their memory with quiet dignity throughout her life.
A woman of learning and purpose, Cynthia earned a Masters Degree and devoted her working life to teaching—bringing knowledge, structure, and steady encouragement to those she served. Her commitment to education reflected a life guided by discipline, respect for others, and a sincere belief in the value of understanding.
Cynthia will be buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC at a later date.
