
Dale graduated from the Ethical Culture Fieldston School and continued on to receive her Bachelor of Arts and PhD from Barnard and Columbia University, respectively.
Dale was a Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University, specializing in epilepsy and traumatic brain injury. She made tremendous contributions to the study of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy.
Dale had a love for travel and the opera and shared this passion with her family and friends.
Dale is survived by her husband Richard Miller, daughter Olivia Miller, mother Patricia (Stanley) Brilliant, sister Jan Nusbaum, niece Avery Nusbaum, nephew Max Nusbaum, and other loving members of her family including Jake Smith.
Dale is predeceased in death by her father Jules Eisenberg, and her grandparents A. Harold and Sylvia Frost & Jack and Gussie Eisenberg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Services and burial will be private.
