I remember David’s smile , good cheer, and conversation

David was the supreme teacher of complex data-he single handedly taught me the ins and outs of Artificial Intelligence in his own low keyed but focused way. One of a kind-I miss him.

So sorry to learn of David’s passing. He will be missed by many, but most of all by his wonderful wife, Istar. I hope she and all who loved him keep memories of his intelligence and warmth alive.

   What a moving tribute to David at Riverside. We have such fond memories of him and see that he inspired love and admiration everywhere he went. It's so special when intelligence and kindness come together in one person, making the world daily a better place.  It was enriching to hear what everyone had to say about him from their unique perspective, and to "meet" Alex for the first time and see how he embodies the loveliness of, and the love for both of you. We will miss David, and will continue to be grateful to have you in our lives.

No words can express my sadness that we have lost David.  I recall his generous spirit during the artists tour, always willing to take photos or help out in someway and finally joining the tour in his own right as a photographer. I wish you and everyone who knew and loved David my sincere condolences and prayers that good memories will replace the sad ones.

David and I both came into the IRP in 2004. Since then, we have spent many hours having lunch together, talking about our life experiences, family  events, IRP classes and many other subjects. I have many fond memories of our meetings. David was a wonderful individual, caring, extremely bright and with a deep concern for what was going on in the world. I learned a great deal from him on artificial intelligence and similar computer related subjects. I also remember being invited to a fascinating exhibit of Ishtar's art work. I shall miss him very much!

I am so sad to hear that we've lost our David. His enthusiasm for The Moth was a constant source of encouragement for us over the past two decades. It will not feel like the Moth without him there, smiling from a front row. Sending so much love to you and your family during this time.

Dear Ishtar,

I am so sorry to learn of losing David. I do not know him personally but enjoyed his taking part in our Zoom classes with you next to him. I send my condolences to you and your family. May his memory be a blessing to all.

Having recently lost my wonderful husband, Steven, I feel the pain  and grief of such a monumental loss.

Many years ago at the then IRP, David helped Steven get the  autograph of Eric Rolfe Greenberg, author of "The Celebrant, one of Steven's favorite books.  It remains on our bookshelf in the baseball section.



 Ishtar:

David had a memorable brain which I had the joy of experiencing during his IRP lectures. His explanation of Artificial Intelligence was the  the best I have ever heard and remains with me today. Certainly a man for all seasons combining his gentleness, humor and love of so many subjects. I shall miss him.
