Diana Dejesus

Diana was born in New York City to Claudio Rebollo and Regina (Virella) Rebollo. She was the oldest of 5 siblings. She married the late Joseph Marzan DeJesus, and had three daughters of her own, Renee DeJesus-Jones of Tiverton RI, Cynthia Oren of McAfee NJ, and Sandra DeJesus-Salerno of Manalapan NJ. She was the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Diana was happy to be a New Yorker! She entered nursing as part of the Army corps cadets at the end of WWII and worked for over 40 years as registered obstetrics nurse at Metropolitan Hospital in New York. She was fondly remembered by the many women she cared for and enjoyed hearing about the children she helped bring into world. She loved traveling with her husband and grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them.

Diana is survived by two sisters, her three daughters, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Diana DeJesus will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019, at 11:00 AM at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 980 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10028. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York. Prior to the service there will be a short viewing at Walter B Cooke Funeral Home, 352 E. 87th Street, NY, NY 10028 for close family and friends.
