Dolores Gatlin, the daughter of the late Milton and Irene Johnson, was born on March 25, 1939 in Harlem, New York. On the morning of June 19, 2026 at 3:55 am at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center in New York the Lord called her home.
Marc Gatlin, her son, was the love of Dolores' life. Dolores was a dedicated mother. She was devoted to loving, giving, sharing and caring whenever the opportunity presented itself. Dolores accepted Christ at the Abyssinian Baptist Church. Dolores worked as a Nurse's Aide at Bellevue Hospital in New York for many years. She then went on to become a Respiratory Therapist at Lincoln Hospital. Dolores was admitted to Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center on May 22, 2022. During the almost four years, Dolores' strength and belief in God sustained her during this trying time. There is sadness today but a great deal of hope for "...God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Dolores leaves to cherish:
Her Cousins: Deborah Belvin, Rudolph Cotman (Radie) and Nino Morrison
Her God son: Amir Cotman
Relatives and friends
You stood the test and you stood well,
How you suffered no one can tell,
So treasure her Lord in your garden of rest,
Cause when on earth she was best,
Lovingly Submitted
