Edward Liebowitz died peacefully in his sleep on December 3, 2022, at his home in Tucson, Arizona. Mr. Liebowitz was predeceased by his mother, Janet Liebowitz, and his father, Robert Liebowitz. Born on October 24, 1942, in New York City, Edward grew up in the city. In his early adult years, he traveled extensively throughout Europe, but he especially loved France and all things French. He made his home in San Diego, California, before moving to Tucson. Edward was well versed in music and the visual fine arts. He had a passion for fine foods, especially those with a French influence. Edward Liebowitz was a staunch supporter of the underdog, and a big believer in equality for all human beings. He had a love for cats and compassion for all animals. Edward was a philanthropist on behalf of many fine charitable organizations. Being the forward thinker and principled as he was, Edward understood early on, and championed the need to stop polluting our planet, and that if we, as a society could not get that one thing under control, that nothing else would ever matter. The date and time for a New York City memorial service for Edward Liebowitz, is pending. Arrangements are being handled by The Riverside Memorial Chapel, located at 76th St and Amsterdam Ave.
