He was a dedicated reporter and won the 1976 best newspaper contest from the NJ press association. And belonged to the society of professional journalists in the state of NJ. He wrote various articles for the NY Post, The Wall Street Journal as well as for Merrill Lynch, where he worked for for a number of years. He lived and worked in the Ukraine in the mid-nineties where he met his then wife and came back to his home in NYC to raise his daughter Diana Zwirn.
