Eileen was born in The Bronx to William and Catherine (nee Murphy) Kelly. As a child her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she graduated from Bishop Gorman High School. She was also a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles. She was the very proud mother of Michael and Anais Vazquez.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her sister Kara Kelly, cousins, and many, many friends.
Eileen was a housing inspector for the New York City Housing, Preservation and Development, and was passionate about tenants’ rights to safe and affordable housing. Eileen was the president of The West 69th Street Block Association.
The family will receive friends at Eileen's home following the visitation.
