Died peacefully on May 1, 2025, in New York City, at the age of 90. Born December 14, 1934, in London, England, to Cissie Levy and Emanuel Goldman. She grew up during the Blitz and was educated at Dalston School and Pitman College, where she trained as a secretary.
In 1961, she immigrated to the United States and enjoyed a long, successful career as a legal secretary and office manager. A proud resident of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, she became a U.S. citizen in 2001. Elizabeth was known for her fierce independence, intellect, and love of family.
She is survived by her cousins Barbara Levy, Claudia Levy, Warren Rabin, Antony Rabin, Sara Rabin, Wendy Janny née Teisch, and Caroline Levy as well as her friend Galit Ponsot. Memorial donations may be made to DOROT (dorotusa.org) or the Carter Burden Network (carterburdennetwork.org).
