Dr. Moscovitz - rest in peace. Tonight, as the High Holy Days approach I wanted to write to you and thank you and let you know the fruits of your work with my daughter.

 She had a very complicated case and Dr. M took her healing one step at a time,   Now, her teeth are strong and she cares for her mouth and teeth based on his sensitivity and the love he poured out to her. 

Now,, sadly I see his obituary. I am sorry for his family. 

Dr. Moscovitz not only cared for my adopted daughter, he was aware of the love that existed with my daughter and myself and extended his care to me.. giving motherhood great support. 

I was sorry he was in pain as he soldered on for many years graciously  giving perspective and referrals when needed. 

We have lost a Menscch. a brilliant and humane doctor whose thinking was as powerful as his actions. I will miss talking and joking with Dr. Moscovitz.. My condolences to his family

So very sad to learn about Elliots passing.  He loved what he did.  He cared about his work and patients.  He left a great legacy and did the right thing. He loved the Village. He was funny, sensitive and smart.  May his memory be a blessing for his family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Moskowitz since 2008 and was just recently informed of his passing. He was my orthodontist that guided me and my family through all the major orthodontic work I had to get done over the years. However, Dr. Moskowitz was more than just my orthodontist. Having known him for a decade and a half, he was there for all stages of my life. He was there for all my academic achievements from my eighth grade to MBA graduations, to all my personal highlights, and everything in between. 

He was a brilliant man- his expertise in his field speaks for itself and through all the patients that regard him in high esteem. He was an honest person and would always give you a direct answer on what work was to be done and the best approach to take. But he also made sure that he took everyone’s opinions into account and was receptive to any reservations his patients had with their treatment. I witnessed this firsthand throughout my years going into his office and could not have been more grateful to have him as my orthodontist. 

As you can probably imagine, going to the dentist/orthodontist office was never the most fun activity of the day. Yet Dr. Moskowitz- through his personality, his humor, his care – always made it a pleasant experience. My parents would come to the office to ask questions about next steps and the duration of my work. We would sit in his office to talk about this work but would often find ourselves exchanging laughs and stories. He made serious work I needed done easier to understand and gave us a sense of assurance when we left the office. My parents would sometimes return to the office during my retention stage just to say hello and catch up with Dr. Moskowitz and share a laugh or two. 

My family and I send our condolences to the family and loved ones of Dr. Moskowitz. He will be sorely missed. We will treasure all our memories with him.

I’m so so upset to see this. He was a wonderful man and ortho and really did the right thing for my son … thought about the whole child. I’m very very sorry we loved Dr Moskowitz, I’m devastated. He was too young.

Dr. Moskowitz was my daughter’s orthodontist for 4 years, until he stopped practicing. She adored him and always looked forward to office visits (really!) because he would give her the history of braces, or false teeth…always something dental related. She admired his passion and loved engaging with him. He will be sorely missed by many.

I got to know Elliot during my residency at NYU Ortho in 1994. He was such a great personality and professional. It was a honor to get the opportunity to get to know him and become his friend. It is very sad to loose him. I will never forget him and the time we spent together.

This is Dr. Moskowitz's Son Jon. Wanted to thank everyone who expressed their condolences to me and my family. My father touched many different people. Shows how appreciated and loved he was. I will miss my father dearly. Jon

Elliot was a friend and classmate from our days in dental school.  His greatest asset was his mentorship of so many orthodontic students. Dr. Moskowitz, as editor of his specialty journal, was also one of the most knowledgeable persons in his field.  I will miss his warm sense of humor as well as his great intellect in dentistry.

I cherish all the great moments and memories spent with Elliott while I was at the Orthodontic Residency at  NYU and the many years since. 

Elliott was a such great man and a great teacher.  He was always kindhearted, considerate, generous and humorous.  I’m blessed to have known him.

I will be forever grateful to Dr Moskowitz. I had the opportunity to meet him during my orthodontic residency at NYU from 2005 to 2007.  I will never forget him as a great mentor. My condolences to his family.

I have been so thankful for knowing Dr. Moskowitz during my orthodontic residency at NYU between 1996-1996.  Rest in peace Elliot and you will be missed.

Will miss a great friend and an intense colegue...didn't spend enough time together...but was always in my thoughts..hope he is now quiet and at peace...orthodontics, Education and I have lost alot....

I  was a patient of Dr. Moskowitz. He was a kind man. My Condolences to his family.

Elliot was a respected professional and a dependable friend.  He'll be missed.  I just heard about his passing and I can't get my mind around it. My best to his family.
