Elsie Hershey

She was born Elsie Adelina Mora Ramirez on July 29, 1924 by her parents Rafael Mora and Rita Ramirez in San Germán, Puerto Rico. She moved to New York City in 1948 and had lived there in Washington Heights for over 50 years. She loved her family. She liked to travel, to read and spend time with her friends.

She was predeceased by husband David Hershey and her two children Elsie Rita and Rafael Garcia. She is survived by her four grandchildren, Dante Nicolello, Rafael Garcia, Alex Garcia and David Garcia as well as 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A visitation for Elsie will be held Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Frank E. Campbell - The Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Ave, New York, New York 10028. A funeral mass will occur Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Incarnation, 1290 St Nicholas Ave., New York, New York 10033.
