Mr.  Sanzari was my English teacher at Ridgefield Park High School class of 1958. 
He was the best teacher I ever had. He read Shakespeare to us and acted out all the parts. He encouraged our creativity.  He helped us appreciate literature and proper grammar. I feel we were so lucky to have had this amazing teacher in our lives. Thank you, Mr.  Sanzari. I hope your husband gets to see this

Mr. Sanzari taught Shakespeare at Paramus High School. I was fortunate enough to be his student. He made Shakespeare come alive and helped us understand it by acting it out. I loved it. It was a major disappointment in college when the prof just told you to go home and read it. He will always be a favorite teacher and memory.

OMG, my heart is broken... Emil was my English Department Chairman at Paramus High School in New Jersey. He was really more than that. He was a mentor, listener, a guide, leader, a wonderful human being and ,of course, a fabulous Shakespeare teacher, ANNNNND theater lover...in and out of school!
Emil, I could never meet the standards that you displayed, but I emulated your character ...the best that I could..  Loving my great BOSS and friend,

I had Mr. Sanzari in the 1970s. He was the best - not only discussing plays but acting them out in front of the room, inviting students in the hallway to take balcony seats to see the petfotmance. Phenomenal!!!

I had Mr. Sanzari for English, Senior year.  There are a few teachers who had a major influence on me.  He was one of them.  I will always honor his memory. Paul Schneider, PHS, 1969.

I graduated from PHS in 1965 and Mr. Sanzari was already a star in the heavens. He gave me a love of theatre and the arts that will never be forgotten.  May he rest in peace.

I was a student of Mr. Sanzari at PHS in 1962 and, I must say, I have never forgotten him. He was as ALIVE as an electric wire and was a wonderful teacher.
I was glad to read his later years seemed so happy....

My son Charles Santoro was a student of Mr. Sanzari at Paramus High School and Mr. Sanzari saw his potential and guided him to his career today.  He is a successful businessowner in NYC, his company is called Proscenium, which my son learned at Paramus, "as the arch of the stage".  I am so sorry neither my son or I was able to attend the funeral, we heard of it only today, we would of both been there so say goodbye to a very important person in my son's life.  May your new stage be filled with only rainbows, Mr. Sanzari!!!
