
Eric was proudly born and raised in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn. His family was close and connected to his synagogue and community. Eric was well known for appreciating the finer things in life, including caviar, wine, street hotdogs and diverse types of music. Following his passion for food, he owned and operated a premier gourmet appetizing shop on Madison Avenue for many years before joining in the family Private Banking business, Rosenthal & Rosenthal.
He took great pride in everything he did and took genuine interest with the people around him. A creature of habit, Eric enjoyed traveling to Venice and Capri every summer for over 40 years. Eric and Sue made everlasting relationships with everyone they met along the way.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Sue, his cherished daughters Karen and Lisa; son in law, Eric; grandkids Ashton, Jordan, and Riley, as well as his sister, Julie and her family, sister in law Bobbi and her family.
Funeral service at 9:00am on Sunday, December 31, at “The Riverside” 76 Street and Amsterdam Avenue. Burial to immediately follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 7800 Myrtle Avenue, Glendale, NY.
