Hello my name is Mr. Dais I would like to thank the Allen family for their donations to the Hackley School my son was able to attend the school he graduated in 2014 then he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.  Your gifts helped make all of this possible. Growing up in the South Bronx 1 of 13 children in a NYC housing projects I never thought this would have been possible.

In a chance meeting, I met Ethel as she and Mr. Wilson were traveling from Copake to NYC and they stopped at the golf course where I work.  I had just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer and we talked about the the disease. I walked them to the door and assured them I would be fine. We had just had a golf tournament to help me with my upcoming medical expenses. they both returned and shook me hand and gave me a check to add "to the cause" as were her words.  This was a very chance meeting and I was floored by the kindness and calming way about her.  I am deeply saddened upon reading of her passing. In the 10 minutes that I spoke with her, she left a lasting impression on me, and I am forever thankful to her for her contribution to my future.

To her loved ones....May the memories of her help you through these tough times. There were outside forces that put us on a path together, and my deepest condolences go to her family. I am so sorry for your loss...May God bless her soul, for she was truly a special person.

Dear Ethel, We truly miss you....miss the laughter, the discussions, and all the enjoyable times we shared with you. It seems very unreal that you are no longer here.
