

Frances was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Yorkville where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She worked as a loan officer for Citibank in New York City until her retirement. She was Brownie leader until her very recent illness and worked the polls every election day. Frances was fiercely independent and was affectionately known as "Hard-headed Hannah". She was a true New York City girl, loved Manhattan; walking the city and sitting in the park. She enjoyed reading, especially John Grisham novels. She adored her grandchildren and loved her dog, Ellie Mae.
Frances is survived by her son, James Roland and one daughter, Frances Pierce of Middletown, NY, and grandchildren, Brittany and Kimberly Pierce. She was predeceased by 7 sisters and two grandchildren, Danny and Eva.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 5 & 7 - 9 PM on Sunday, November 25th and from 9 - 10:30 AM on Monday, November 26th at the Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Directors, 352 E. 87th Street, New York, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday at St. Joseph's of Yorkville Church, 404 E. 87th St., New York, NY. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY.
