Massimo,
One of my fondest memories is of driving through the Italian countryside with you and Francesca, our newfound friends, on the occasion of Stefano and Cristina’s wedding. It was my husband’s first trip to Italy and we were all very happy and having such a good time making each other understood in excited conversation. I’ve been grateful ever since for your generosity of spirit and always valued the moments we would meet up again when Stefano came to town.
My sincere condolences for your loss.
With much love,
Monica

PS I hope that a scholarship in her name will be instituted. She cared so much about young people and their education.

Dear Massimo,
We had the good fortune of meeting Francesca and you through my sister. We had the opportunities of getting together and celebrating several events together in New York, California and Ottawa. We will savor the memories of those days. We will always remember your generosity and cherish our friendship.

Dear Massimo, times spent with you and Francesca are treasured memories. One of the best was drinking champagne on the rooftop of Necla’s apartment building in NYC, or when you made risotto for us at your home. Francesca knew everything about everything. She introduced Ana and me to the lovely Italian, French andEnglish gardens in Central Park and so much more. Sending you love from Mexico, Martha

Francesca did not leave us. She will always be present in our talks within ourselves, inquiring, prodding, supporting.

Caro Massimo and family,
I am a fortunate person because of the friends I have made and the places I have lived and visited.
I used to visit my Turkish friend, Necla Tschirgi ,during the 10 years she worked in Manhattan, and through her, Massimo and Francesca opened their hearts and home to me:an Italian-Brazilian.
Throughout our many adventures together I discovered how Francesca was able to bring the joyful child in her.
We shared a passion for Rome and she gave me countless suggestions of the places she thought I should visit.
It was a privilege to follow her paths in the city through her eyes and tastes while feeling her by my side.
Francesca, such a beautiful poetic name, restera Sorriso, Luce,Curiosita, buon Gusto, Amore, Eleganza, Vita.
Sara sempre con me .
