I consider myself fortunate to have shared meaningful moments with Ninong Gerry. Through those encounters, I came to know more deeply the kind of person he was, which only strengthened my appreciation for choosing him as my Ninong during my confirmation.

After college, he naturally became a mentor to me. He was always willing to help, whether it was reviewing my CVs and cover letters, sharing career advices, or teaching me how to present myself professionally in the workplace

But Ninong Gerry was much more than a mentor. He was a father figure to me.

Some of my most treasured conversations with him were not about work or achievements, but about life itself. He shared his experiences, lessons, and values. He encouraged me to think ahead, to build a meaningful life, and to remember that while success is important, family is ultimately what deserves the greatest time

I was amazed by the way he approached life with wisdom and purpose. His example showed me what it means to be not only successful, but also a good husband, father, mentor, and person. In many ways, he gave me a blueprint for the kind of life and character i hope to build for myself

It is difficult to imagine moving forward without my mentor, but im deeply grateful for the moments we shared and for the values he passed on me. The lessons he taught me will continue to guide me, not only in my career, but in the way i live my life

I have many fond memories of working with Gerry. He was truly one of the best—an exceptional expert in his field. Gerry consistently solved problems and found innovative ways to support the business. He had a remarkable talent for leveraging resources and accomplishing high-value projects and tasks. Moreover, he was a good friend to many of us, to both colleagues and partners. He will forever remain in our hearts and memories.

Gerry and I worked together in Nestle Philippines. We've lost touch after I left the company. I often wonder how he was doing. There was I time I tried reaching out to offer him to join me in another company. Gerry is a great person to work with. He was also a friend. I am happy to hear he found a great wife and have a family. A loving person deserves a loving family.

You never treated me differently. You always looked out for me, supported me, and treated me like a brother wherever and whenever we worked together.

I have always loved working with you. As I write this, I am reminiscing about our business trips to Allentown, Mountain Valley, the dinner parties, fun games, and our Stamford days—spending long hours in the 4th-floor meeting rooms discussing ongoing and upcoming projects, reviewing timelines, sharing laughs, and, of course, the times when you would pull my leg 😊.

More than being an exceptional client manager, you were an incredible human being. On a personal level, you guided me in many aspects of life—whether it was finances, family, raising children, or making important decisions. In fact, you are one of the key reasons my family and I are here in the abroad today.

Looking back, I wonder how we never took even a single photo together. But now I realize that sometimes the best friendships are captured not in pictures, but in memories. As the saying goes, "Good friends may never share frames, but they always share a special place in our hearts."

I will always be grateful for your mentorship, friendship, and unwavering support. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Your kindness, wisdom, and encouragement have left a lasting impact on my life, and I will cherish those memories forever.

I am at a loss for words. To say I was shocked by the news of his passing would be an understatement. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Through his kindness, generosity, and the way he treated others, he truly made the world a better place.

Throughout all the years I knew and worked with him, he always seemed to have a smile on his face. No matter how challenging the day was, he had a way of lifting the spirits of those around him and making even the toughest moments a little easier.

One memory that has always stood out to me—and I’m sure to many others—was during a company outing when he made what can only be described as the perfect double axe toss. It was one of those rare moments that left everyone amazed. Years later, we were still talking about it, laughing and marveling at how impressive it was. It wasn’t just the throw itself that made the memory special; it was the joy, excitement, and camaraderie he brought to that moment, just as he did throughout his life.
