Gloria Goldman

Gloria grew up in the Bronx and attended Juilliard and Columbia University during the 1930s and 1940s. She taught piano before establishing her own interior design firm, which she ran for 30 years. In 1949, she married the love of her life, Victor Krumholz, who predeceased her by nearly 50 years. She later married Irving Goldman and enjoyed many wonderful years with him until his death in 1995.

Gloria was an extraordinary woman and had an unparalleled joie de vivre. She was smart, witty, cultured, resilient, insightful, and well-read, reading the New York Times and doing its crossword puzzle every day.

A Life Master bridge player and passionate foodie with an unmatched knowledge of new restaurants, she embodied grace, style, and elegance.

Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother to Michael Krumholz (Ellen Rooney) and Ronnie Kapner; a cherished grandmother to Joey Krumholz (Emmy Funk) and Kathryn Krumholz; and a proud great-grandmother to the newest love of her life, Etta Krumholz.
