Helen S. Weiss

Helen S. Weiss ( nee Schwarz) passed away on April 12th, 2 months shy of her 100th birthday. She had an extraordinary life, emigrating from Lvov, Poland as WWII broke out, with her mother by her side. Following an arduous journey they settled in New York where she met, married and enjoyed a long and happy life with her beloved Chuck.

Survived by her children Wally (Helen) and Audrey (Michael) and her loving grandchildren Emma, Daniel (Ana), Isaac (Ellen) and Mark (Samantha) and great granddaughter Sofia Regina.

Funeral service will take place at 11.30am on 4/14/2026 at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76th St. (Amsterdam Ave) followed by interment at Westchester Hills Cemetery.

Shiva will take place on Tuesday 4/14/2026 from 5pm to 7.30 pm with minyan at 6.30pm at 275 Central Park West and on Wednesday 4/15/2026 and Thursday 4/16/2026 at 277 West End Ave at the same time, 5pm to 7.30 pm with minyan at 6.30pm

May her memory be for a blessing. She will be greatly missed.
