MS Disharoon,
I did not know your son but I understand your pain. I lost my daughter in June of 2017. I found her dead of a herion overdose and it is the worst pain our family has ever had. My prayers are with you and your family. I still see part of our Daughter every day because when she passed away she had a 6 month old baby and he is 3 now and he acts like her and looks so much like her. BUT, I believe God's plan was for me and my husband to raise him. He is the light of our life.

Jacob, Jacob, Jacob. If I shared every story and memory I would monopolize the space on this site so I will just say that your humor, your smile, and you extremely large heart will be forever stored in the recesses of my mind. You still hold a special place in my heart and the one thing I wish I did better was keep in touch. I'm glad to know that despite the challenges that came your way, you remained loving at your core. Miss you Jakey, but will see you on the other side. God's Peace and Blessings to the Bowling/Disharoon family.

Something I will never forget about Jake was his smile. He always had a way to brighten up the day. I remember his shenanigans trying to get us to believe the Pocomoke forest was haunted. No words can bring comfort. I pray that his family will be comforted through this time and those good memories will shine through.

I have known Jake since school he was a year above me. However, we became really close friends in 2006. I always cheered him on in his recovery and gave positive emcouragement when needed. Jake had a heart of gold and was such a good person. I always spoke to him and ran into him over the years and our friendship remained. I had the pleasure of seeing him a month before his passing in Ocean City on the boardwalk. I know I will never forget him and always will remember him for the happiness he spread. My deepest condolences goes out to all his loved ones.

Dear Barbara, I remember quite well the day you enrolled your special family in Somerset Co. school system and I immediately fell in love with all the boys. David captured my heart being the oldest and having a smile that just brought joy. Jacob was younger but I remember the handsome, good looks that characterized your whole family. My heart aches for you since a mother's loss is undoubtedly something from which you never recover, but then, I know that your faith will somehow bring you through. My prayers go out to your whole family!

I can’t say how sorry I am you’re all feeling this way right now and each day. I liked him so much!! I can’t express how much, but I think his mom knew!! He was so nice and always so sweet to me. Always a hug waiting when I seen him. I loved seeing his art work, as he was so talented. He will be missed that is for sure. Wishing won’t change anything , as I know this firsthand, but I do for sure !! Sending my love and prayers for all always !!!
