Joan entertained us throughout Notre Dame High School with her wit and laughter throughout the four years there. She did not shy away from asking inquisitive questions in class and was quite outspoken on the subway rides to and from school (Manhattan and Queens). I remember going away skiing with her after we graduated from college and we got caught in a snow drift on the way home. She laughed and thought it was so funny until we finally managed to get out of it. It was good to see her at the reunions through the years and she always seemed interested in what we all were doing.  She had so many challenges in the last couple of years and life wasn't so easy near the end. I know God looked down and knew she needed rest and took her home to give her rest. May she share in the eternal rewards with her loved ones and God Bless Always!

I had the pleasure of growing up with Joan. We were classmates from elementary school through high school. I have fond memories of us growing up together. She will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working for Joan at Citi.
It was a time in our ever evolving culture when women had to be tough to be a leader in an otherwise man's work of new technology and large data center operations; many things done were truly for the first time.
And now as us old bulls & cows' fade into the sunset we need to recognize Joan as a forerunner that managed, threatened, entertained, cajoled, fed (and fattened) the teams to get the jobs done  and despite the rough edges Joan always made us laugh as hard as she got us to work.
Some memory triggers:  Data center consolidations and 50 page timelines; COMDISCO disaster recovery drills that lasted 72+ hours; mandatory lunch meetings in her large office  where you were not allowed to leave; and Joan on the Weehawken public address system!!!
Joan took us iron-men and tempered us into steel.
RIP Joan, the Citi is much better because of you!
