Joel was a presence throughout my many years as Director of Education at Temple Emanu-El in Livingston, NJ. Yet, my most memorable activity with him was when we were opponents at the bridge table during my first bridge tournament. I was a beginner and he wasn’t. I can’t remember who won but I do remember his lovely face smiling at me.

Joel and his partner Elliot gave me my first job out of college at Comvestrix. They encouraged me to pursue a career in sales that spanned 37 years. I will never forget Joel’s kindness and guidance which contributed to any success I achieved. I thought of him often with fond memories from Presidents Club. The world has lost one of the good guys!

Joel was a true pleasure to know. Known for being a quick wit and for his keen sense for business and a gentleman through and through.

May his memory be a blessing for his family and friends.
