I wondered why Johnny had gone quiet. No response to phone calls, emails, no Christmas card, and I suspected worst.
I'm so sorry.  I first met him when I was international PR for De Beers in the 80s and 
we had good fun around the world.  May he still have fun on the great diamond trading floor in the sky.

Your father was always so kind to me and it was such a pleasure to know him. He invited me to your book signing and was so proud of you and always looked forward to his calls and time with you. I am just hearing the news and am so very sorry to have missed the memorial. I will cherish the many lovely stories we shared with one another and am so thankful to have known your wonderful father. I am very sorry for your loss.

How do you summarize 53 years of gratitude and friendship ? When I came to the US in 1970, my Uncle placed an ad in The NY Times in the hopes of finding employment for me.  Because your Mother In Law noticed the ad, I have had the honor and privilege of having you and your family in our lives for over 5 decades. Your home was my oasis and safe haven then two years later in my darkest time, you and your family opened your heart and your home to welcome my child.  In those early years you introduced me to Peggy Lee, Marlene Dietrich, Wuthering Heights and so much more.  I am forever grateful for your presence in our lives and we are blessed beyond measure to call you family.  My heart is with your family and I send them my deepest condolences.

Mr. Reinhold, you were our angel on earth and I know you are now one in heaven. Rest well wonderful friend.

Berkeley,  I knew your father in the 70s and 80s in NYC. He was lovely. He and my brother Ian were very close friends. I remember him coming out with the Rattle Ring. So very clever. Your Dad was so sweet and I'm glad that we were able to catch up this year. I'm truly sorry for your loss and send many hugs and much love. Rest in Peace Johnny. Love Tonia

We have never met, but I feel as though I've known you a lifetime through your father's loving words - his face would literally beam whenever he spoke of you! I am deeply saddened by your monumental loss. I hope one day we will meet and remember John together.  Until then,  may the warmth of your happiest memories together chase your tears away.
