I just learned  of Jonathan's passing and the news has left me both shocked and deeply saddened.
Jonathan and I worked together back in the Lincoln Square Barnes & Noble days. He was an amiable, quick-witted soul with a winning smile and a heart of gold.
My deep condolences to family and close friends are no less heartfelt for being belated.

We are deeply saddened by the news. Jonathan was truly a kind and gentle soul. He was such a joy to be around especially on Monday mornings when dropping off our dog Gordito. He always had this lightness about him and positive energy any time of day. Jonathan truly cares for all the pups and we were so very grateful to have our sweet boy in his care. We will all miss him, especially Gordito. 

Jonathan was the best part of having our adoption events at NY Dog Spa. He was the absolute kindest human, so generous and supportive, and he made every event feel so special. He would always spend extra time and give lots of love to our dogs if they were having a particularly difficult time. He was an integral part of our mission of saving dogs and everyone at Hearts & Bones will miss him so much!

We always say that NY Dog Spa is the best thing about living in Chelsea. In fact, when we purchased a condo, our only criteria was that we had to be within walking distance of Dog Spa. It was Jonathan who greeted us every morning and ushered "Bandito" in (generally with a stern but joking "I hope you won't cause any trouble today"). We will miss him dearly and so appreciate how he loved and took care of our most important family member.
