STAMLER--Joseph Charles, of Rumson, NJ, died peacefully on February 24th at age 81. Loving husband of Susan, father of J.C., Kimberly, John and Audrey, grandfather of Charlie and Henry. He graduated from Lafayette College. He served as lieutenant commander in the United States Navy prior to becoming a member of the New York Stock Exchange in 1962 where he remained a specialist on the floor until 2000. He was a remarkable human being who graciously put the needs and concerns of others before his own. He taught us to live life to the fullest, to take joy in the accomplishments of others, to face the challenges of work and life with indomitable spirit and to look even the hardest problems straight in the eye and face it with courage and confidence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New York Service for the Handicapped, 1140 Broadway, New York, New York 10001. His family will receive at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Ave. at 81st St. from 2-5pm on Saturday, February 27th. Funeral services will be held at Congregation Emanu- El, 65th St. at 5th Ave. at 2pm on Sunday, February 28th.
