He passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning of September 13th, 2022, at the age of 87 years old. His wife Donna and son Chad were

Justice Pollard, as he was popularly known, was a former Judge and one of the founding members of the Caribbean Court of Justice. He was an expert Jurist in International Law and a Professor of Law at the University of Guyana.
Justice Pollard was an extraordinary man who worked tirelessly throughout his life as a lawyer - a consultant for several International
Law projects within the region, and an author.
While he was very professional and serious in his work life, he was also compassionate, caring and very helpful to those around him. He would always have some anecdotal stories to tell that would somehow impart gems of knowledge.
His first priority was to his family, a good husband to his wife Donna and an excellent father to his children. He was a proud Guyanese and Buxtonian.
Justice Duke Pollard is survived by his wife Donna, his sons Duke jr., Nathaniel, Chad, Michael, Brian and daughter Michele. Grandchildren Eleana, Stephanie, Stephen, Brianna, Amari and Manuel, his brother Leslie, sister Lynette, nephews, nieces,
son-in-law, daughters-in-laws, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Princess Alexandia and Herbert Fitzgerald Pollard, his sisters Phylis, Sybil and Gloria.
We love and miss him dearly.
