Ken lived his life with love, integrity, determination, and an extraordinary work ethic. He came from modest beginnings and built a remarkable life for himself and his family through hard work and perseverance. From Columbia University, where he played varsity basketball and baseball, to Fordham Law School, to a distinguished career as a New York attorney and litigator with an encyclopedic knowledge of the law, his accomplishments were earned without ever compromising the principles by which he lived.
But as proud as we all are of all that Ken accomplished athletically and professionally, nothing mattered more to Ken than his family.
Ken met his wife, Carmen, at a Valentine’s Day dance, and they were married for 56 years, raising their three sons together, Ken, Paul and Andrew. For more than a decade, as Alzheimer’s progressively took away Carmen’s independence, Ken became her devoted caregiver. Even near the end of his own life, when cancer had left him barely able to move, Ken would sit with Carmen at night and hold her head in his lap.
That was Ken.
He was fiercely loyal, immensely proud, and always more comfortable taking care of others than allowing anyone to take care of him. He would do anything for his children, while doing everything possible to make certain he never imposed upon them.
Last night, we all lost a remarkable man who lived a remarkable life.
Ken was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a protector, an advocate, and someone others could always count on when it mattered most.
We all love him tremendously, and we will miss him more than words can express.
Rest peacefully. You earned it.

Visiting will be held at The Abbey Funeral Directors, 333 Amsterdam Ave, New York, New York 10028, on September 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Holy Name Church, 207 W 96 St., New York, NY 10025, on September 24, 2026, at 10:00 am.
