

Lawrence Perlmutter peacefully passed away on Friday, November 29th, at the age of 104, in Fort Lee, N.J. He is predeceased by his wife Lillian (nee Kopolsky) of 53 years. He is survived by his daughter Alexa Perlmutter of Central Islip, NY, Evelyn Levy and son-in-law Stuart Levy of Scottsdale, AZ, and daughter Beth Geltman of New Milford, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael and Jessica Levy, Karen and Todd Santoni, Tracy Geltman and Jenifer Foote, and Jeffrey Geltman. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Emma and Jackson Levy, and Ian Santoni.
Lawrence was born in the Bronx on July 11, 1920. He attended NYU before enlisting in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of “The Greatest Generation.” He went on to have a successful career as a land developer and builder as President with the AMREP Corporation.
He and his wife enjoyed a life of travel and being with family and friends. We attribute his longevity to his positive outlook on life and the joys of family. His greatest love was his generosity to his family.

Graveside services to be held at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY, Friday, December 6th, at 11 AM.
