I was a client of Leon Wildes in the mid 1980s. A great, kind and generous man, lawyer and advisor. I was also privileged to attend the event at Yeshiva University when his book on the Lennon/Ono case was released. My sincere condolences to his family.

Leon & I were roomates at Y.U. in the1950's. We were also good friends. When my wife Pearl & I made Aliyah to Israel in 1999, Leon always visited & we renewed our friendship.
May his memory be a source of blessing to his family & to his friends & to K'lal Yisrael

Mr. Wildes was a wonderful man and a beautiful soul.
The world is less bright without him and I know we will cherish our memories of very short time spent together, but he will be forever in our hearts!

Leon chaired the board’s student life committee at yu while I was dean. We developed a close relationship and I was blessed to have his full support. He was a pleasure to be around and he will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathies to the entire Wildes. Family. My name is Marshall Needle. I came from Olyphant Pa. Leon’s family lived down the block from where I lived. And his father Harry. Lined our Torah. We had a special relationship. Again I’m very sorry for your loss.

When I arrived in 1982 to become Dean of the Cardozo law, school, Leon became an enthusiastic, creative and knowledgeable supporter. He mediated among many disparate constituencies playing immigration law like amusical instrument, exposing his talented sons to great opportunities and needs in the west side, inJewish communities and in the world at large. His loving attention to details and institutions he admired was always present. I was fortunate to have him as a constructive friend at YeshivaUniversity

I grieve the passing of Leon Wildes who was a major figure in the New York Immigration Law Community.
His wisdom will be sorely missed!
