Leonie McGregor, age 85, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. in New York, NY.

Leonie McGregor was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to her beloved mother Claire Francois on January 15, 1936. She studied cosmetology in her youth and became a fashion model, receptionist, businesswoman, entrepreneur and an Upper Eastside Manhattan restaurateur as she was an extraordinary gifted French Creole chef.

Predeceased by her ex-husband Melvin A. McGregor, Sr., Leonie leaves behind to mourn her son Melvin A. McGregor, Jr., wife Sharon A. McGregor and grandchildren Jasmine M. Pagidas husband Nickolas S. Pagidas, Jr., Renata S. Noel, Brian A. McGregor and Melenie A. McGregor, her daughter Alice M Chu, husband Jose A. Chu and granddaughter Sarinis M. Kissam, husband Marcus D. Kissam and great grandchildren Liliana M. Kissam and Victor L. Kissam, her brother Jude D. Francois, wife Colekia Lawrence-Francois and nephew Jaden L. Francois and niece Claire E. Francois.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Directors, 352 East 87th Street, New York, NY 10128.
